Xnewsmips — X Window System Display Server for NetBSD/newsmips

SYNOPSIS

Xnewsmips

DESCRIPTION

Xnewsmips is the server for Version 11 of the X Window System for NetBSD/newsmips. It will normally be started by the xdm(1) daemon or by a script that runs the program xinit(1).

SUPPORTED HARDWARE

Xnewsmips supports the builtin graphics controller on newsmips console, and it can be used as 8-bit color server.

Xnewsmips supports the builtin keyboard and the builtin mouse for input devices.

In addition to the normal server options described in the Xserver(1) manual page.

HISTORY

Xnewsmips was based on Xhpc server for NetBSD/hpcmips, which was originally written by TAKEMURA Shin <takemura@NetBSD.org>, and Xdreamcast which was ported by Yasushi Oshima <oshimaya@sc.starcat.ne.jp>.

BUGS

Xnewsmips is still experimental, and there is no hardware acceleration support yet.
